The success of UCI Highclere Victor Ludorum continues to pave the way in 2008 to set new sportive and course standards, and welcomes the Armed Forces, Police Force and Fire Services who are taking part in their first Inter Services sportive challenge.

Sunday 8th June 2008 will be a truly great day at Highclere Castle when both experienced and aspiring leisure cyclists will be coming together to take part and cycle over three inter-linked courses and ride their challenges to bid for Individual and Team honours.

200km and 120km Victor Ludorum Challenges: Team and Individual
  • Welcome back the Scorpion Sting, one of the toughest 25% / 30% combination back to back climbs, on an improved fast anti-clockwise aspirational course, increased to 200km and giving 3000m of pure rolling Hampshire Downs climbing.
  • Welcome to Harting Hill and Stokes Hill - new additional climbs to challenge you.

New 70km Highclere Challenge: Team and Individual

  • New 70km Victor Ludorum short course designed to give aspiring leisure cyclists the chance to ride the outbound and returning sections of the challenging course.
  • New team challenge - Highclere Challenge Cup for 4-7 riders working as a team getting your best riders past the finish.

200km and 120km Inter Services sportive Challenge: Team and Individual

  • Welcome to Army, Royal Navy, RAF, Police Force and Fire Services who will be taking part in their first Inter Services sportive.
  • Who will challenge Royal Navy in 2008, and who will challenge the wheel of Martin Smith, Army CU, to take the individual honours?

Our new website is now live and open to take your entries online. We are proud of the service standards we have set for our events. Your positive feedback continues to tell us how well we are doing as well as areas where we can set new standards. We continue to support the Fire Fighters Charity (FSNBF).
"I wanted to drop you a line personally to congratulate you on an excellent event. I had a great time (except of course the last 10 miles!), and the organisation was superb. In my mind this ticked all the boxes, and should be held up as a standard for other sportives to aspire to" Dominic Baker Kingston Wheelers
Ken, Barbara, Louisa and Britain by Bicycle support team look forward to welcoming you to our 3rd edition UCI Highclere Castle Victor Ludorum sportive on Sunday 8th June 2008.
