The West York's event will be at Bretton on 11th April with a midday start. Exit M1 at J38 and follow A637 signposted Bretton Sculpture Park. Turn immediate left (100yds after start of dual carriageway) onto Jebb Lane and follow up the hill for approx 1-2 miles where there will be a sign into private woodland on the left. Please note there are no toilet facilities at this location so it would be wise to call at Woolley Edge Services 1 mile north of J38 if needed.

1st June MTB Race Round 2 FSSAA Series 08 Cheshire Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service are hosting the Llandegla MTB race which is on the 1st of June, start time 1215hrs.The entry fee for fire service riders is £7.00 and for guests pre-entered £10 and on the day £15.00.

14th / 15th June 2008 Time Trial Cornwall The 10 mile Time Trial will commence at 1500 hours on Saturday 14th June 2008 on the S6/10 Course up through the Ladock Valley about 5 miles to the east of Truro. HQ will be at Tresillian or Probus. Both courses are with 10 miles of each other.
The 25 course will start at 0700 hours on a new course S100/25 which is based at Victoria on mainly the new dual carriageway part of the A30. It'll be very fast...the 10 on the same course (cannot use our event) Wendy Houvenaghel has done a 19 on it and that was just in training having just done a 10 on the S6!    All entry details are in the CTT handbook and entry forms can be downloaded from their website at : www.ctt.org.uk. 10th July 2008 MTB Round 3 FSSAA Series 08 Dalby Forest Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire. Start time midday. Those who attended last year and should have got a prize please come along and collect it this year ! Follow direction arrows from Forest Drive to start. Food and prize giving afterwards.

6th August MTB Race Round 4 FSSAA Series 08 Cleveland Hosted by Jeff Crawford and his merry men! at the NEMBA Venue, Easton Hills, Middlesbrough.
Hi Folks,
The next MTB Event is on the 6th of august, Hosted by Jeff Crawford of the Cleveland F&I Service, at the Flatts lane country Park just below Middlesbrough.
All riders are welcome be it MTB , Road or with stabilisers!! the event caters for all abilities.
There are the usual categories ,Novice, Sport, Masters ,Vets and ladies with lots of prizes and a 'bun fight' afterwards at the nearby Fire Station.
The event starts at 1230hrs and the directions to it are as follows,
From the south follow the A1 then the A19 then turn right onto the A174 for about 7 miles until you come to the Greystones R/about ( Junct of A174 and the A1053 where you turn an Immediate left onto the B1380 (High Street) towards Normanby for about 1.5 miles where you will come to some traffic lights ,turn left onto West Street, which further on turns into Flatts lane and it takes you back over the A174 .
The Event HQ is approx 200 yards further on , on your left. There should be some fire Service MTB signs to assist you but if you happen to get lost or are running late give me a call on 07788 585252 or ring Jeff Crawford on 07940 492267
If your coming from the North have a look at the map and it will become clear but you will be turning left onto the A174 and follow the directions as above.
You can bring along the Wife and children, for after the event, you can take them to the beach which is only 5 miles or so away where you can laze in the sun while the children frolic in the surf.

Route to Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service MTB Race at Cannock Chase.

On M6 motorway to Jun 14.
A518 Signed Stafford /Stone, Uttoxeter.
Coming south its first exit off Roundabout.
Approximately 1/2 mile Double Roundabout Straight on A518 Uttoxeter.
Keep on this road for 2 miles until the next roundabout, Turn Left A518 Uttoxeter / Rugeley.
(If desperate for the Loo at this point Stafford Fire Station is on this roundabout!)
11/2 miles into Weston, at T. Jun turn right on A51 Rugeley.
(Cheshire Lads if you travel down on the A51 join the route now.)
3 miles bear left at mini roundabout A51 Rugeley.
(Garden Centre on Left)
At new R-about straight on SP Cannock A460
At Eaton lodge roundabout turn right A51 Cannock A460.
Straight on at lights.
At Next Island (Little Chef) turn right A460 Cannock.
(This is last food and loo stop before the race.)
Stay on A460 at next small island, straight on.
The race is 2 miles on your Left, this is a fast straight road, so keep you eyes peeled for our small signs.
Once you see a hot food sign 1 Mile slow down!
Points to Note.
a. There are NO facilities at the race venue.
b. The last services on the M6 before you get off are between Jun 15 and 14.
c. Toilet stop at fire station
d. Little chef and local shops at Rugeley Aprox 3 miles before race venue.
e. 400 meters past the race entrance on the right is the food Van, good quality bacon buttes and tea!

M6 Jun 11. A460 Cannock
First Roundabout straight on, follow A460 heading for Hednesford and Rugeley.
One mile out of Hednesford look out for Fishing pools and a Hot food van, on the left, Slow down race entrance is 400m on the Right.
 
15th & 16th September 2008 2 Day Road Ride & AGM York to Whitby Day 1- Depart York area at 10:00hrs (to be finalised) with 2 groups riding the same route to Whitby along the western edge of the North Yorkshire Moors then along the top side of the Moors into Whitby YHA (approx 77 miles). There will be a cafe stop en-route.
Day 2 - Depart Whitby YHA at 09:15hrs and ride over North Yorkshire Moors and return to York (fast group 65miles, slow group 50 miles approx). There will be a cafe stop en-route.
   Cost of £30 p/p to include B/B & evening meal at YHA. Transport of belongings to YHA and back will be provided by the back up minibus. Please bear in mind that this minibus has limited space which is there as a last resort if you have an accident or suffer bike damage and not just simply to climb aboard if you get tired.
   To secure places I will require the full amount to be paid from the outset. The 35 places are available on a first come first served basis.
